I have an antique cherry cabinet that is at least three times my age. The door has a slight twist to it, and it keeps opening itself. The door catches of yesteryear had a metal prong that pushed two rollers apart. This catch pre-dates that, it's all about springy metal that bows out of the way. And this is the sound it makes when you close it.
For a production of the play ripcord a performer goes off stage to fill a watering can. Once with the door left open, and once with the door closed. So i made a couple of recordings, and play the sound as long as needed.
We have a really old garage door that apparently is not very well lubricated. The squeaking adds a nice creepy feel, recorded using a zoom h4n field recorder.
Opening/closing a new door, recorded with a roland r-26. Let me know if you need 4 channels (from directional and omnidirectional mics), this is a stereo mix of both.
Captured during a windstorm. Dead blot unlocks, then the door swings open. The distant white noise of the storm drones on until the door swings back and closes loudly, then the magnetic screen clicks together.
This is several swings of a huge rusty dumpster door - it varies in pitch and volume, and there is a little bit of background noise. Good for sound effects work. It's particularly good if you happen to be looking for the sound of a particularly deranged tuba!.
please do not obstruct the doors. . . Stand clear of the doors pleasevoice recorded from canada water subway station in london. Recording device: htc touch pro. Sound has been optimized (filters, normalizing, limiting).
A very squeaky door being open and closed in a recording booth, kind of spooky soundingrecorded with the nearest mic (a dynamic shure microphone, model unknown) with some noise removal applied afterwards.
Went to a public toilet in a small village in the lake district (england). The door lock made the most awesome sound and the reverb in that room sounded great, luckily i had my recorder. . .
This is the mechanical sound of a door that locks and unlocks automatically. Thank you for checking it out!. All my sounds are public domain and can be used by anyone in any way they want. You can support me here : https://www. Buymeacoffee. Com/chrd.
Recording of bell hanging off our office door as the door swings open and closes. Recorded on sony m10. Originally used in my audiodrama podcast: https://podcasts. Apple. Com/us/podcast/rainbow-demons/id550855240. Don't forget to let me know what you use them for!.
My door bell sound modified to sound as if it's coming from farther away as it would normally sound from a different room. Slightly biased towards the left channel, reverse the stereo channels for it to come from the right.
